April 2019 Energy Insight

The beginning of April could throw some of us into a bit of mental and emotional overwhelm. We might be feeling off-balance or find ourselves unnecessarily ruminating in an energy where we’ve let others have too much power.

For some of us, the most intense expression comes through as feeling like you’ve hit rock bottom. The less intense implications for the majority might leave us feeling like we’re off our game or like it’s really challenging to lock into our power. Know this: These situations--however they show up--can feel more emotional and dark than they really are.

If you find yourself in a struggle of this nature, know that time will heal this feeling. Don’t hold onto an assumption, bogus piece of feedback, or snarky comment that is making you feel less than, and consider the source. The bottom line here is that if you were engaging in something (work, relationship, a way of doing things) that was not in your best interest, it could be quite obvious at this time, so focus on what your specific takeaway should be and move forward.

By the time we enter the middle of April, we regain some of our mental composure and are on track to more stable footing, at least from a mental standpoint. If the exhaustion or emotional situation earlier in the month applies to you, now is a critical time to focus on recovering that expended energy.

This is a time to focus on inner healing through rest with a focus on a quiet mind. We’re feeling pressure (and it’s not going away anytime soon) but we get to control what we allow to impact us. Have you set adequate boundaries? What is the lesson of this discomfort trying to teach you? What positive and constructive coping mechanisms can you employ?

As we head into the end of the month, we’ll be ready to move on from whatever struck us weeks earlier. We’ve processed, reflected, given ourselves some time, and now, we’re primed for some release.

Uncomfortable as these cycles may be, they are critical for our bigger-picture growth. If we moved through life without adversity or challenges, how would we be pushed to evolve?

Keep this in mind for the entire duration of the month: If you are feeling challenged, think of it as a sign that you’re being called to bigger and better things. Coming up against a perceived setback is often just a nudge in a different direction or an invitation for us to move out of whatever is not serving us.

Don’t assume that the best approach to discomfort is to pack up your bags and move on; that is certainly not the case here. What needs to end? Who are you becoming and what do you need to let go of in order to support yourself on the journey?

Theme: Turning to people around you when you’re overwhelmed. Engaging with your core people to help remind yourself of your power and strength. Staying determined, focused, and disciplined, specifically as it pertains to the mental plane.

Challenge: Overcoming challenges and perceived setbacks even when your mind tells you it’s not possible.

Opportunity: BIG opportunity to let go of experiences that otherwise could make you feel resentful. Observe. What is just below the surface that you’re not seeing?

October 2018 Energy Insight

The start of October is a time to ask some deep questions around what is holding us back. It’s time for us to face what we’re inherently terrified of, even if that might surface as thoughts rooted in anxiety or worry, jealousy or a fixation on something that we know isn’t serving us. 

When you think about your mental plane (thoughts, beliefs, expectations), what do you think is preventing you from moving forward? What keeps coming up--even in seemingly different scenarios--that holds you back? What unfounded belief stops you in your tracks and halts your progress? 

There’s a big tendency for us to encounter blocks, and uprooting them means reflecting on these questions. Turn your attention to that inner stillness and check in with what quiet message needs to be heard. 

As we move into the middle of October, we are reminded that patience is a critical step in manifesting what we want. You’ve done the work, planted the seeds, and now comes the doubt, questioning, and uncertainty. Don’t get sucked into this space. 

Even when we listen to that soft calling and take action, the unfolding of the outcome can happen in ways we might not expect. Your job is to trust that if your action was rooted in integrity, new life will sprout from your efforts--it just might take longer than you expect or happen in a way you hadn’t considered. 

The end of October is all about rising up and reaching success but also touches on the energy of forward-moving momentum. This month feels very “wrapped up in a bow” in a sense; we start off reflecting on our blocks and the fear that keeps us in chains. Then we move into a space where we need to keep our heads down and lean on that trust--to know that there is activity and movement happening but we just can’t see it. Finally, we’re rewarded with an energetic breath of fresh air and the clarity to rise above the muck we’ve been clearing. 

It will be tempting to spend time thinking about how hard it was to get here. On a bigger scale, this has been building for months now, we’re just finally seeing it come full circle. Stay present in the moment. Revel in your successes. Stay plugged into your integrity. Constantly consult with that as you make plans and take action to move forward. 

Theme: Cooperating with yourself, the power of choice 

Challenge: Containing power that isn’t quite ready to be released, momentum, using the resources at hand without getting swept up into what you don’t have 

Opportunity: What have you learned the past few months and how does this impact where you are headed?
